Cheshire north west 2011 championship news
CNWSSC would like to inform old and new members of 3 new adult classes we will be running this coming season.
We are pleased to announce, after a lot of consultation with some of the local movers and shakers in the twinshock/evo world, we now feel confident that the following race format is what the majority of riders in these classes are looking for.
Classes will be twinshock, evo (pre1989) and an vet class (over 40) ,dependant on the entry these classes will be either run as one or two races but never mixed with the modern mx1/mx2 classes. Race time will be 15 minutes with three races per day counting to an overall result .Trophy’s for the top three in each class will be awarded at the end of each days racing.
For all riders that make themselves club members there is also the opportunity to qualify for the club championship , the qualifying criteria is 6 rounds to count out of the 11 club rounds we are running this year. All qualifiers will receive a free ticket to our end of year bash were you will be presented with a trophy based on final championship positions.
The season kicks of at Norley on the 27th of February, with competitively priced entry fee’s, the most cost effective method of competing in this championship is to join the club and get your A.C.U licence application form .For those of you that have not held an A.C.U licence before /in the last five years, they are doing a reduced fee of £25.00.
So, if you fancy being the A.C.U Cheshire Champion at the age of 40+ or twinshock /evo Champ or just fancy a few laps on a Sunday afternoon riding your pride and joy along side like minded people in a safe and friendly environment, contact Dawn on 07805 761 432 who will be pleased to help. For further details /check out the dates ect on our web site www.cnwssc.co.uk.
The tried and proven format for all schoolboy classes will stay much the same continuing with the reduced entry fee for our youngest riders (auto’s £15.00), separate 65’s race, sw/bw 85’s will run separate as long as there are enough entered on the day, schoolboy class will now incorporate a separate 125 2 stroke championship (scored as one race on the day/split for the championship. We are also looking in to the viability of having a girl’s championship maybe incorporating all the classes. Trophies for all autos, top ten in 65’s and 85’s, prize money for the top five in the schoolboy class. Championship will be over 11 rounds with 8 to qualify 9 to count .The top 4 in each class will be invited to represent your club at the A.C.U team event, if a rider is unable to attend we will move down the list .
The popular adult mx2/mx1 format will stay the same, 20 minute races, prize money paid on the day, opportunity to qualify for end of year championship.
We hope to make this a great season with some excellent racing on some of the premier tracks in the north west ….
Yours in sport cnwssc
